I am hoping to hold an international fishing match at bankend fishery near finningley. There will be a few tweaks to the normal rules these being; each competitor will be limited to 2 kilos of groundbait and 2 kilos of leam/soil and half a kilo of joker and a bloodworm hook pack plus two pints of any other bait. Fish meal groundbait and pellets have been completely banned. It will be silverfish only, no carp or F1 to count in the weigh in.
The draw will take place at around 8.30am at the fishery cafe with fishing starting at 10.30am and finishing at 14.30. We will be fishing on the west lake.
If anyone wishes to attend it would be best if they pre-booked a place by ringing me on 07735 201300. The match is limited to 25 pegs. It is also worth noting that it is the first time this lake has been used for an event like this. If it is successful then we may consider running a proper winter league for 2012/2013.
If I manage to get 25 anglers fishing then the pay out will be top three and sections of five pegs.
Date of the match is 25th February 2012, pools £20.
