how will the current position impact on irish match angling i would imagine last years squad members will probably fish the same circuit as the trialists, are you all still friends or are relationships strained.

I don’t think that it will make a whole lot of difference to Irish match angling. Most of the Federation executive don’t match fish, so the chances of meeting them on the bank are small. As for the guys that attended the trials, They have done nothing wrong and I wish them the best. I would hold no grudge against them and the lads I know are sound people.
Its an honour to represent you country or adopted country, I just think with all that has go on, it will that away a little from it. The incoming manager, who is still in hiding, will be under a lot of pressure, as he obviously thinks that he will be able to do a better job than the previous one.
I think its time to move on and forget about it. Nothing is going to change, so its best to put it to bed.
