TF_SelfeyAnyone fishing the arva or King o clubs this year?
I am on the Gowna at the moment the water levels are down and the fishing is hard due to nice weather and high pressure. -

TF_SelfeyNigel drew the new section on the last day the peg had blanked on every day. He blanked but had enough for 2nd overall.
The water is right down at the moment and they tried a new section after going over it with a fish finder on the weekend and it seemed solid.
Nigel drew it first day and had 33 kilo that set him up for the week. But he drew along a bit again on the last day and it came back to bite him on the ass….
Kev fished a great festival right through and was a deserved winner.
As i said it was hard and very few roach to be had conditions were still and hot.
Catch of the week had to be Scotts 18/19 kilo of perch at gullado.
A great festival just spoiled by the weather. -

TF_SelfeyIt was out of gowna turn right past the football club and down the mushroom farm road right to the bottom and then onto a boat out into the lock and round to the right. Half the pegs were good the others were just too deep and no one caught.
They are moving it for the arva this week and using the farm at lennards and the dreaded lisney that will fish for 2 days then be shite.
The Arva has now gone to overall weight not points.
I also heard that they are struggling on numbers for it and the KOK has only 60 booked on… -

coxp001ParticipantNot surprised the KOC is badly subscribed with them reducing the 1st prize from £3000 to £1000
Irish ferries wanted nearly £600 for the week and along with pools, bait and beer the total holiday would have been easily £1500 !! -

TF_dendraDid any other sections throw up any bream/skimmer weights-Rockfield or the Swings?
-
06/09/2010 at 7:20 pm #115592
TF_SelfeyNope it was dire on the bream/skimmer front. I drew two over the stile on Kevins Rosduff an out and out flyer and had 6 skimmers in the first 2 hours then not a bite for the rest of the match!!
It was all down to the weather I have been there before pleasure fishing and we were not catching in simular conditions. We started fishing at first light and caught till about 9 in the morning then that was that..
