I’ve received this from John Middleton, who has been trying to rekindle the Ivan Marks Memorial match on the wide Welland – details here https://www.total-fishing.com/phpbbforum/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=60450&p=331828#p331828

As you can see the number of ticket sales so far is too low for the event to go ahead….

        …………………

        Good morning Guys.

        Update on current situation.

Ticket response has not been anywhere near as good as expected & falls far short of intimated response. At current date we have only received 40 bookings which is very disappointing. A decision has been taken that the minimum number of tickets required for the match to proceed is 50. This is considerably less than we originally planned for.

Update on the venue is good. Banks have all been cut & weed cutters are on the river at Crowland Bridge & are due to start weed cutting shortly.

Any one intending to fish this match should contact Trevor Leigh to book their ticket Asap. Tickets must be pre booked & will not be available on the day. If we cannot make the minimum number of 50 confirmed tickets by the end of August the event will unfortunately have to be cancelled.
