TF_Fred Davisyep I finally took the plunge, I bought a two wheel shuttle on e bay for £50 (used twice) which was as in good if not better condition than some that I have looked at in various tackle shops, i then spoke to sam at the fishermans cabin and they did the conversion to a 4 wheel for £40, I did think of buying the four wheeled shuttle new but when I compared the four wheel to the two wheel conversion I preferred the coversion jobby,at last, finally I am mobile without the knackering feeling you get if you carry or use a trolley to get your gear to a distant peg, as these are a boon to use on commercials especially if you do a festival or two I am stfford for a week soon so it will come in very handy there.
any one else been converted 😀

TF_steve rConverted to a trolley many years ago Fred as the winter league walks were long uns ! About 18 months ago converted again, this time to a barrow/platform but after last years’ Glebe Fest [where you carry enough bait for a year anywhere else for just two days’ fishing !] I converted said barrow/platform from a single wheel to 4 wheels which is the dogs doodahs for commercials now but can still revert to the single wheel for riverbanks and towpaths as necessary 😉

TF_andy cranes mateParticipantDoes anyone do a 4 wheel conversion online?

TF_wightanglerDon’t know about total conversions- but there’s a chap on ebay making wider front axles for the converted ones. My mate has one – excellent and well worth the £25.
I’ve been using a converted 4 wheeler for over a year now and now find it essential.
Only thing i’d change would be the hard tyres for the semi-pneumatic that the ulitimate shuttle version has. -

TF_Fred Davisant theres quite a few tackle shops that do the upgrade fishermans cabin at eastcote lane charged me £40 also did it if I was prepared to wait for 20 minutes however with all tackle shops that do the conversion best to ask if the have the parts first.

TF_Fred Daviswonkerscramp, what did it for me was going to tylers common I blew a trye coming back up the hill on my trolley box system suddenly I was carrying all the kit, wheels and all for 20 yards then collapsing only to carry it another 20 yards and so on pulled some ligaments in my wrist and by the time I got back to the car i thought i was going to have a coronary, so solid wheels may not be great but at least they ain’t going to deflate/burst and hopefully I won’t be having a coronary 😎 😀 😀 😀 😀
luckily a mate did lend me a tyre off of his box system to do the flatter half of the trip back to the car otherwise i would have been in serious trouble, I’l settle for the solid wheels not being that great as I’ll just be gently pushing the four wheeler along 😉

TF_wightangleri have to say i’ve used my conversion over rutted cow fields and very hillocky ground – it ‘jars’ a bit but has’nt toppled yet -despite silly amount of kit and holdalls stuck onto it.
