It looks like flat jockeys are going on strike on monday in protest against the new whip rules.
one top jockey has already handed in his license until it is reviewed.
The new whip rule has been implemented, not for horse welfare, but for public relations exercise. The whip jockeys use is made of foam and does not harm the horse.
What next? horse boxes can only be used if the have an electric engine?
That may be a good idea – F1 racing with electric engines. lol
They should go on strike on saturdays. that will save me some pennies lol.
a light hearted view of a serious problem i know but if society keeps bending backward to keep the do-gooders/antis happy it will end up with us not allowed to use hooks, at best.
