I clean all the dust off and put them in a plastic GB or washing up bowl. I then add warm water from the tap until it covers them by an inch or so and then add boiling water from the kettle and stir it around. When they stop wriggling, I then add cold water so I don’t burn my fingers and then drain off the water and put them in a bait box.

            Another way.
At the shop, buy them as normal, but take all the air out of the bag and tie it up as usual.
Take home and put them in the freezer for a minimum of 24 hours.
I take them out the morning that i want to use them and whilst setting up, open the bag and fill it with lake water. By the time i have set up they have defrosted in the water, but the best thing about this is putting them in the water to defrost. It stops them from stretching out and they look as good as Pikey’s maggots done the warm water way!

Tie the bag up tight, they wont stretch when they defrost.

Try a pellet pump, takes the air out a treat. Leave for a while and should all be dead. Tip passed to me by a Yorkshire man.

Casper just cup a few onto the ice on frozen lake, hypothermia will soon kill them!
