        Number of pegs: 22

        Report:
The bulk of the fish in the Thursday KOBRA Open were around the main bowl of Lagoon (Dynamite Makins), and no-one between pegs 21 and 34 weighed in.

Fishing his first match on the lake, Higham Lane Fishery boss John Varley caught carp between 4 and 8 lbs steadily throughout from peg 13 to end with 71 lb 4 oz and a clear win. All his fish fell to corn bait presented on a feeder.

In contrast the next two anglers both caught on long pole and expander pellet. Browning Central ace Gaz Wood (peg 17) finished with 60 lb to edge Danny Ross (Wykin AC) with 58 lb 6 oz from peg 2 into third place.

The KOBRA Open match on Thursday 25th November will be on Crater and Snake, 9.30am draw in the Phase 2 car park at Dynamite Makins.

EVENT: DYNAMITE MAKINS Wednesday ‘KOBRA’ Open
        VENUE: Lake 2, DYNAMITE MAKINS
        DATE: 17 November 2010
        RESULT
1st John ADAMSON Kobra Feeders 38 lb 2 oz
2nd Chris HARRISON Bailey’s of Warwick 30 lb
3rd Jason SHIRLEY Bailey’s of Warwick 4 lb
        Number of pegs: 14

        Report:
The Wednesday KOBRA Open on Lake Two at Dynamite Makins was poorly attended in the strong SE wind and steady rain in which competitors struggled for bites, only three weighing in.

Long Eaton angler John Adamson (Kobra Feeders) switched to method feeder after a bite-less 3 hours and immediately caught ‘stockies’ from peg B17. He finished with 15 stockies and 2 proper carp for a winning weight of 38 lb 2 oz.

Chris Harrison (Baileys of Warwick) on peg A8 also caught his fish in the final 3 hours, his 5 carp, all falling to pellet presented on the bomb, weighing 30 lb.

NB. ‘Kobra’ Open Matches are run at Dynamite Makins every Wednesday on Phase 1. Telephone 07749 284 823, or be in the Car Park by 9.15 a.m. (£15 all in at the draw).
