TF_NathanWatsonIf you draw near a reedbed, they fish in the middle of them on the pole, strong 1! And bag up! In open water, waggler and method is good.

TF_scarfAnd if you do fish in the reeds make sure your elastic is strong and set very tight or you’ll never get them out.

TF_BeanpoleParticipantP1-6 open water stokies to 1lb lumps down edge lady hour
7-16 and 30 in bowl method bomb or wagler depends on wind
18-25 island on pole stokies and large carp
26-37 called snag ally catch stokies open water then fish in snags heavy gear and pray fish to 15lb so gear up heavy
Good luck Gregg -

TF_scarfThat’s great info. Gregg. Wish I’d had it before the Garbolino club angler match last week. I might have got a few out.

TF_JohnHJoking aside if I had to fish like this I would pack up. It has echoes of elasticated landing net poles on Drayton years ago, just rediculous IMO. If it was my fishery these reed pegs would be left unfished.

TF_chunk522Participantwhats the shortest and longest reach to these snags with the pole as I havent seen the lake before Im just trying to get a mental picture of them incase I draw one of these pegs 😉

TF_SneakyDon’t forget it is compulsary to turn up on a unicycle wearing massive shoes and a big orange wig and spend most of the day chasing each other around carrying an imaginary bucket of water
