Just a quick note that quite a few people are having issues logging onto or registering on the new forum.

This is something we did expect as we have changed platforms which is the right thing to do in the long term.

However it’s none the less frustrating if you are trying to post and can’t.

Please bear with us we are working through every person who has contacted us. Paul (my technical guy) is on holiday this week but he will deal with everything when he gets back.

Please email [email protected] with any issues your are having.

If you were struggling to register you should be able to now.
The anti spam ‘catchpa’ was causing problems.
We have switched it off, which will probably mean more spam in the short term until Paul gets back….

For some reason today I got logged off and when I logged back in this message appeared

            ” Login successful.
Data user_password => ****, for Waveney One synced to phpBB.”

Anyone got a clue what they are on about?

Yes ,it means the system has checked the password you’ve entered too the one on record in the user database for synchronicity ,that one mirrors the other, they’re identical ,a matching pair ,they’re the same even 😀

Cheers chavender, it doesn’t mean that they have changed my password to ‘phpBB’ then 🙂 I presume that to be a file reference then.

Agreed, they aren’t the nicest looking messages.

They are system messages just to let you know the forum account has properly synced with the site account. It is really just while we iron out the last of the login issues from the migration.

I’ll switch them off once it settles down.
