How do the above poles rate compared to other poles?

Tried a similar thread a couple of days ago and only had 2 replies.I a waggle of the 525 a few days ago in the tackle shop and was impressed light and stiff at 13m compared to the other poles on show only the daiwa tourni was better but cost 3X as much. From the amount of replies we’ve had to the posts I can only conclued Map have not sold to many poles and should adjust there prices accordingly (we can hope).Climax was the tackle shop.~think

The TKS poles are excellent value for money. I have the TKS 40 (basically a 525). I can’t fault the pole for the money.
The pole is strong and easily handles at 13m and 14.5m ( not used at 16m).
Spares are very reasonably priced. £40 for a match kit. £30 for a power kit and the short and long number 4’s are £40

I had a waggle with the 725 the other day and this pole is amazing. A tourney pro owner also had a waggle at the same time and he said ‘it’s better than the pro’.

The only fault if there is one is that spares have been a problem. But I think that all maufactures are suffering at the moment. Spares seem to be coming through now.

Fairly sure, more or less, that the MAP poles are the same (or very similar) to the sensas power match poles. Certainly the top kits are a dead match, and they are possibly made in the same factory.

If they are, as I have a couple of sensas poles, you’ll not be disappointed at all. Though, and not looked at the MAP poles, the sensas and maybe the MAP aren’t 13m without the mini extention.

No mini extensions available for the 525 and up at the moment. MAP say they will be available from September.

I have a TKS 30, will they be making a short 4 for this pole?

Swapped from a Diawa conny 512 to a MAP 525, about 12 months ago, and was amazed at the difference. The MAP is light and very stiff, with the top kit system spot on. I could do with a dolly butt section like a Phex, but apart from that the best pole for the money on the market.

Errr and no breakages yet (probably stand on it on Sunday now !! lol )

I use a 525 and have to say its a cracking pole for the money, great package, cheap spares and very usable even at 16M.

it’s one to be looked at if your out to spend in that price bracket.
