Keith will be joined by Mark Barrett, secretary of the Pike Anglers Club of Great Britain and star of OnlineFishing.tv’s ‘Barrett’s Big Bite’ and ‘Ebro Maniacs’ TV series, to look ahead to the predator season.

Duncan Charman is in predator action at Bury Hill Fisheries and we also get out with Keith for some conger eel fishing off the Brighton coast.

That should be interesting, having Mark Barrett on the programme alongside a film at OBH, bearing in mind he has slagged the place off (unfairly in my opinion) for its “Mickey Mouse Zander fishing” for the last few years ! He also had a spat with David DeVere a few weeks ago in the press over the singles vs treble hooks debate.

I’m sure this will come up Keith won’t shy away from asking and Mark won’t why away from answering…

I remember getting in a bit of hot water myself a couple of years back when I wrote in one of my newspaper columns about some specialists doing really well there fishing single barbless hooks with braid hooklengths for the zander…

…… and Mark was straight on the blower telling me that ‘i should know better’ than to promote people fishing with braid for predators on a water with loads of pike in as well.
