        does anyone no how makins fished today and what was the winnning weight and method got a match there soon cheers

          86lb peg A3 on lake 2, pellet method.

            cheers steve looks like it was hard going we have got phase 1 pools 2 4 and 5 would you do the same or take a pole aswell

              When I watched the winner he was fishing pole and worm to the end of the island at 16-17metres.

              It was hard with quite a few DNWs. Flat calm and very warm conditions didn’t help.

                Id take a pole, although mainly for lakes 4 and 5. Winner had one fish on the pole, the rest were on method.

                  I drew out of it on lake 5 and struggled to 23lb or so – would have had a much better day, for bites anyway, if I had taken some worms/ caster/ maggot – I didnt as to my mind it was an event to aim for the frame which I was sure would come to “big” baits; but if you want to edge your bets pack some silvers bait and fish light…

                      i will second that, spoke with winner after and told me he caught on method feeder. 2nd was 75lb off Lake 1 peg 12 on pellet wag 10 fish.
