I would recommend you fit the Trevor Jeans nose cones rather than the clean caps, in my opinion the foam caps act like abrasive pads when wet and covered in dust or sand, this will make the adjacent female wall section thin in next to no time.

ive only just this minute found out about these they look impressive! also can be fit onto 4th section whilst have a pulla bung on top kit.

not overly keen on glueing things to my pole though?~think

no need to glue anything,if they come a bit loose a piece of pole elastic down the cone will put it right.
              ordered some more last night.
i’m not sure about the clean cap theory about wearing sections away,i’ve used them years and so have thousands of others and this has never been an issue before.
saying that, the trevor jeans cones are brilliant,so its upto you.

I had the Maver Clean caps in one of my previous poles and my top kits ended up wearing so thin i had to have them wrapped………never again!!

Got Trev’s all the way down to my #8 section on my Absolute 14 – they are fantastic.

The only advantage of the maver clean caps is that should you drop a section in, it should float. Or if you own a daiwa pole when the sections work loose and or they eventually get pulled apart by a fish, they should float.~naughty
