I’m going to have a dabble on the cost cutter open on Thursday at Heronbrook. Its on the Meadow lakes and I need to know what’s working and what’s not? Where to fish to gain the best from my peg. Any info would be appreciated.

The worst posible draw is next to Andy Moors , yes he is amoungst the best . I will be their thursday too. My advice to you is fish to your strenghts, Andy , as far as I can see fishes meat a lot, but all other bait work, corn ,pellet , paste ,maggot whatever your confident in. The draw is important as some areas seem to hold bigger fish although 100 lbs plus can be caught off a lot of pegs. I go heronbrook a lot but dont profess tp have cracked it. Usual methods work , across – try and find the shallowest area or you foul hook alot, meat down the middle for lumps and also the edges . Forcast is good for thurday with light winds, which is a necessity to get the best out of your peg. An enjoyable day gauranteed at heronbrook.
