Andy Findlay had a lot of success with this a few years back and he used minced luncheon meat mixed with hemp and breadcrumb sloppy. I tried it and couldn’t get on with it as sloppy as he fishes it so i ended up stiffening it with more white crumb.
I didn’t really give it a proper try as i lacked the confidence but i recon you could make it work if you really wanted it to.
One thing i will say though is that carp in paste venues will often switch right onto just plain meat or cat meat. They like the soft textures, sugars and the salt.

push meat through a sieve put it in a bowl with just a little flour mix well and into a ball, put in plastic bag and in fridge overnight and be fine for fishing in the morning, meat paste is softer than pellet paste so fish it a few inches overdepth and dont move your float

Andy Findlay used an almost dry meat mix of paste. Bit of hemp, bit of crushed pellet and lots of meat pushed though a riddle several times. Just a small amount of water to hold it tgether. The mix is then squeezed on the hook and lowered in to the water in a pole cup. Breaks down very very quickly. So, needs to be fished at very close range (3-8 meters). Tried playing with it a few times but found it to be very frustrating and very hard work when your changing your hook bait every 90 seconds or less! No need to feed as your feeding your swim every time you put on a new ball of paste. It has to be said that i dont like the dry ground bait paste mixes either. I,ve seen them work but there too busy for me to get my head around.

What about using proper sausage meat the supermarket bought stuff in a big plastic tube packet I bet that would work
