TF_One Out of the FrameThe Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for Coventry and Warwickshire.
It said heavy snow would start falling from about 0300 GMT on Wednesday and would continue across the West Midlands region until about 1200 GMT.
It has forecast up to 25cm (about 10in) of snow and said, as Coventry and Warwickshire was in the middle of the snow band, it would definitely be hit.
Great – Not! I’ve been fairly lucky up until now with about 4″ here near Rugby but it looks like that luck has ran out and with the Missus working in Coventry tonight, doubly worrying.
Take care everyone!

TF_CutnutAnyone know how the Route to Newmarket is along the A14 from Northampton?
I’ve got a Hospital Analyser breakdown to do, so a fair bit of pressure to go.

TF_One Out of the FrameBlizzard conditions on the West side of Rugby (Bourton-on-Dunsmore). The Missus car has got 3-4″ on it and she has been in about an hour.
My car has got 7-8″ behind it that has drifted.
Time to put the fishing clothes in the car, shovel and flask before going out on an essential journey…

TF_Waveney OneThawing quite well in Suffolk. Started yesterday and carried on today although we did get some sort of wet overnight that left a film of ice over everything and caught a few people out this morning.
If it carries on like this it will all be gone in a couple of days.

TF_Waveney OneThe ice on the lakes will take a lot longer though. For that we need a southerly gale and rain for a couple of days!

TF_bagging machineParticipantNo snow in Doncaster yet but we did have 18″-24″ three weeks ago. All local lakes are at least 6″ thick with ice.

TF_One Out of the Framelol@Daddy B: I could do with the exercise tbf but as it was light powdery snow it didn’t take much shifting! It was more the thought that I wouldn’t get back that forced the adjournment.
Coventry has got away with it fairly lightly, apparently, according to a friend who had just came back from Walsgrave hospital.
Still snowing here though.

Nice to know they’re prepared & are spending our Taxes wiseley.lolWigan Council are fantastic (fantastically stupid) Plenty grit supplies. Not an issue. However, they are actually collecting grit boxes in and taking them away rather than fill them.

TF_caster robParticipantThose Wigan grit boxes probably weren’t just diverse enough for the task.
