        Good Afternoon,
        Forgive me if I’m posting into the wrong thread, I’m a long time reader of the forum, but never posted before. I’m looking for a friendly point in the right direct, if you will.

        I was a long-time admirer of the words of Ivan Marks and used to prescribe to his scribbling’s every week in Angling Times. A good friend of mine mentioned that there’s a new book in the offing and I wondered if anyone had any details.

        I do hope someone can help, I think I’ve over-thumbed my current literature

          Have a look at todays’ Angling Times which I believe is carrying excerpts from the book and will of course have the publishers’ details.

            Thank you so much. I’ve yet to read, but will do.

            Do we have any solid details or is it still urban myth?
            …… And more importantly will it do the old boy justice.

              The book is simply a compilation of the best articles Ivan wrote and are extracts from his then weekly column in angling times

                Much obliged for the responses so far……
                The question is, would a leather-bound copy for £180.00 be a good investment?
                tempted……. very tempted.

                  Evening All,
                  Just thought I would jump on-line to tell you all that I am now in situ with said cloth copy of Ivan’s Book homage (I’m having a leather bound copy delivered soon).
                  It is everything I hoped it would be. Bravo to the production team, Bravo to the thought process of getting the articles together and Bravo to the memory of Ivan.
                  As a collector and a fan of Ivan I can categorically state this is my favourite piece on summerhouse bookshelf.
                  A splendid book, a must have, a fitting tribute.

                      Does anyone have details of how to get copies?
                      I dont buy the AT anymore, just the monthlies but can recall Ivans articles from the 80s.

                          Morning All,

                          The book is entitled: Ivan Marks: The Peoples Champion.
                          I purchased my copy from http://www.calmproductions.com

                          If you are a collector and a fan of Ivan’s articles, as am I, then I would suggest a Leather Bound copy (mine is on order). I think the value of this publication will rise as it sells out and it has the hallmarks of a collectors nugget!
