boring i know but a new pole is a big thing.
last pole i got was milo super carp 2000 11 or 12 years ago and it has been held together with vinegar and brown paper for longer than i can remember.

most i can spend is 500 squid. expecting to get the map 325 but have noticed prestons zenotex. i rarely fish longer than 11.5m. the shimano exage slim at 11.5m looks ideal if it is a “short pole” as shimano advertises and not a soft actioned line to hand pole.

if anyone can help or give guidance please do so.

Take a look at the 13m Garbo G-MAX 550 or the Maver Invincible which are both excellent short’ish’ poles. But personally I’d go for the Browning Xitan Z2 which is absolutely top quality and IMO one of the very best bagging poles around,

really depends on what sort of fishing you do?
take a look at the maver ellite carp available at 13m for 599 one of the best carp poles i have seen

Go 2nd Hand and find a pole in current production…

              Bargain!!

cheers, some of them poles are a bit over the top with power.
never used any elastic over size 12 solid.
ok, i’m not good enough to catch big uns. lol

and i would rather go new than second hand.

The Shimano Exage (not the slim one) is worth a look and falls just in to your budget.

have you had a look at the Sensas range of poles, they seem pretty good value and they have the joker card guarantee. If its a long term buy though i would get something from Daiwa or Tricast because spares wont be a problem then.
