New venues

A question to all , how do you guys go about tackling a venue you havn’t seen before in a match ? I try to find out as much as I can from forums websites etc but sometimes confuse my self and set up a whole tackle shop and never really settle on one method, I think if I stuck to my strongest methods etc I think I would do better . Interested in your thoughts
