        Hi,

        Has anyone got any info on Newark Dyke, I’ve got a match there on Sunday. We’re on pegs 1-15 at red bridge.

        Cheers

          Long rod / stick & maggot 2 rods out and 1.5oz feeder right over… Fish lightish 0.11 on float 0.13 on feeder… Maggot & hemp… Keep it simple.. Bites come in patches as they’re moving around all the time..

          Hope this helps..

              Last wednesdays open was won with 24lb on pole and hemp from peg 4.
              2nd = 21lb, 3rd = 18lb both roach on hemp and pole.
              Skimmers not feeding properly (10lb weights)
              Roach not wanting maggot at moment – take some casters.

                Hi Mate if you drawer the early pegs 1-3 fish the tip as these pegs will always throw up skimmers. The open recently had a couple of 20’s both made up of skimmers in the early pegs.

                If you fish hemp, then this is the way forward especially while the river is low and clear but those early pegs tend to be tip pegs.

                Hope this helps

                  if your not used to fishing hemp on the pole, don’t try it, it will drive you mad!!! if you fish wag and mag you wont be far wrong, if there’s a tinge of colour in the river the skimmers will definitely feed, two thirds across 2 and 3 red mags on the hook and don’t feed to many worms but more casters.
