NISA FEEDERS MIDWEEK OPEN MATCH RESULT/REPORT
EVENT: WEDNESDAY “NISA Feeders” OPEN MATCH
      VENUE: MEADOWLANDS FISHERY – LAMBSDOWN
      DATE: 19 JANUARY 2022
      RESULT
1st Gary COOK (Mosella UK) 17-01
      2nd Maurice WILLIAMS 11-00
3rd Martin HINCKS (Ajax AC) 5-09
4th John ADAMSON (Nisa Feeders) 4-10

      Report:
Although the venue was ice free the water temperatures were very low. The match commenced with the cold wind blowing from the SW and into the anglers, but ended with it from the NW (onto our backs), so using the “deeps”, which gave shelter, was the correct decision, especially as everyone caught fish.

Gary Cook (peg 21) started on a hybrid feeder and yellow wafter, and 10 minutes after the start his tip heaved round and he hooked (and landed) the only carp of the day. Remaining on “the tip” he added some nice bream/skimmers for a final winning weight of 17-01.

On peg 27, Maurice Williams also started on the feeder at range. After a biteless two hours he “balled in” 4 balls of groundbait and fishing bomb and maggot over the top caught silvers steadily to end with 11-00 and second place.

Martin Hincks (peg 23) alternated between feeder and pole throughout the day but could only catch small roach and skimmers for 5-09 and third place, whist John Adamson sat it out on long range feeder for four skimmers weighing 4-10 for fourth place.

The photos are of the top two with their catches.

NB. ‘NISA Feeders’ Opens are at Meadowlands Fishery most Wednesdays. Book in before 10pm the previous evening (see Facebook: Nisa – midweek Open Matches), draw in car park 8:30am-8:45am, fishing 10:00am-3:00pm.
