1st Gary COOK (Mosella UK) 54-00
2nd John ADAMSON (Nisa Feeders) 24-02
3rd Martin HINCKS (Ajax AC) 14-06
Report:
On a cold, dull, and grey day with a steady SE wind and continuous rain, the anglers opted to fish the “Pump” bank which was at least sheltered from the wind, although, in spite of the conditions everyone caught fish.
On peg 49, Gary Cook started on method feeder but after a single skimmer in the first hour switched to his pole line – and never looked back. Fishing with corn, Gary caught skimmer bream (from 4 ozs to 2 lb) steadily throughout the remainder of the match, adding a couple of carp. He did lose three carp on his light tackle but with his twp carp weighing 12-03 added to 41-13 of skimmers, his 54-00 total was easily enough to secure the win.
John Adamson (peg 47) fished method feeder throughout for three carp and three skimmers for 24-02 and second place with Martin Hincks (peg 49) who also fished method feeder taking third place with 14-06 of skimmers.

NB. ‘NISA Feeders’ Opens are at Meadowlands Fishery most Wednesdays. Book in before 10pm the previous evening (see Facebook: Nisa – midweek Open Matches), draw in car park 8:30am-8:45am, fishing 10:00am-4:00pm.
