        Report:
The warmer weather switched the fish on the feed and ther match, on the deeps, produced fish for everyone with two weights topping “the ton”.

Chris Horsley on peg 25 caught an early carp on the method feeder before switching to pole, after which a steady stream of skimmer bream found their way into his net plus the odd decent carp. He ended the match with 52-02 of “silvers” (mainly on maggot) plus several carp, which fell mainly to sweet corn for a grand total of 139-03 to win.

On peg 27 Maurice Williams continued his great form, and by alternating between bomb (which produced 10-00 of silvers to maggot) and feeder (which produced decent carp) he recorded 127-06 for second place. He was well over the net limit on one net which was recorded as 60-00 but was probably closer to 75 lbs.

Liam Lynott (peg 15) filled third place with 57-13, which included 22-05 of caster caught roach and 4 carp (sweet corn) all on pole, with Mick Bull (peg 21) taking fourth with 25-10 of roach (maggot) and four carp (corn), again all on pole.

Next week the match will be on Warren Lake.

NB. ‘NISA Feeders’ Opens are at Meadowlands Fishery most Wednesdays. Book in before 10pm the previous evening (see Facebook: Nisa – midweek Open Matches), draw in car park 8:30am-8:45am, fishing 10:00am-4:00pm.
