Report:
The match was held on Warren, and everyone fishing managed to catch at least one carp as well as skimmere bream.
On peg 18, Mick Bull fished pole for most of the day, and alternating between pellet and corn caught skimmer bream regularly interspaced with carp to accumulate a total of 87-01 (49-06 of carp and 37-11 of skimmers) to win.
On peg 15, Jack Harness struggled until the last hour catching the occasional skimmer on feeder and long pole. A switch to his right margin with corn transformed his match as a steady number of carp found their way into his net to give him a total of 58-02 and second place. This included 11-01 of skimmers.
Nigel Harrhy on peg 27 had just a few skimmers on feeder before switching to pole to his left margin where he found several skimmers and one large carp for his third placed 23-12.
On peg 5, Martin Hincks also struggled on feeder before a switch to pole and pellet produced one carp and several skimmers for his 11-04, although he lost two decent carp that managed to get under the platform and break him.
John Adamson (peg 10) sat it out on the feeder all day for three skimmers and a small carp for his fifth placed 6-05.
Next week’s match will be on Lambsdown Lake on the Deeps.
