        Report:
The first midweek “NISA Feeders” Open match at Meadowlands on the magnificent Lambsdown Lake was a success in spite of the awful weather, when anglers awoke to a temperature of -3C, which rose to around 6C in the afternoon. Amazingly, in spite of this and the fact that the wind kept switching directions, there were fish caught throughout the match length (pegs 1 to 31).

Top weight was taken by Mick Bull from peg 19. Mick found the fish failed to respond to pole tactics and he caught eleven carp on pellet waggler to put 85-08 on the scales for a clear win.

Baz Jaques on peg 16 also caught carp on the pellet waggler, his 8 fish for a weight of 62-14 putting him in second place, well clear of third placed Darren Cook, who weighed 41-10 from peg 23. Darren had left his wagglers at home, but managed to “bodge” bits of tackle to manufacture a replacement that certainly worked.

Chris Wayte (peg 20) took fourth place with 36-15 of carp, also on the waggler, with Martin Hincks (peg 28) in fifth with 32-10, which included 19-00 of bream alongside two carp, all falling to hybrid feeder fished at around 30m.

John Adamson (peg 15) was first out of the prizes with a feeder caught 32-08 of 3 carp and some bream, with Mick Chapman (peg 13) next on 31-14, four carp taken on bomb and pellet.

Let us hope for better weather on 14th April.
