NISA FEEDERS MIDWEEK OPEN MATCH RESULT/REPORT
EVENT: WEDNESDAY “NISA Feeders” OPEN MATCH
VENUE: MEADOWLANDS FISHERY – LAMBSDOWN
DATE: 26 JANUARY 2022
1st Maurice “Moz” WILLIAMS (Bishops Bowls) 33-07
2nd Mick BULL (Frenzee) 25-09
3rd Chris “Oggy” HORSLEY (Meadowlands) 20-09
4th John ADAMSON (Nisa Feeders) 5-09
(Paid top two)
Another cold day met the anglers, although bright sunshine lifted the edge off the chill, and continued throughout the day until it clouded over for the final hour of fishing.
In spite of the weather, once again everyone caught fish, although except for the top three placed anglers, the remainder only caught three or four skimmer bream apiece and mostly did not bother the scales.
Moz Williams on peg 23, for the second week running, put in a great display of bomb fishing for silvers, and this week a carp of 15-04 lifted his weight to a total of 33-07 for the win. He caught his fish on light bomb gear close in and baited with maggot.
Mick Bull (peg 25) took second place with 25-09, which also included a (small) carp. Mick alternated between pole and method feeder to keep the fish interested.
Third place was filled by Chris “Oggy” Horsley from peg 21, who also included a small carp in his catch of silvers. Chris fished a cage feeder and baited with maggot.
John Adamson (peg 17) was the only other to weigh in with four “skimmer bream” for a weight of 5-09, all of his fish coming to method feeder.
NB. ‘NISA Feeders’ Opens are at Meadowlands Fishery most Wednesdays. Book in before 10pm the previous evening (see Facebook: Nisa – midweek Open Matches), draw in car park 8:30am-8:45am, fishing 10:00am-4:00pm.
