6th Martin HINCKS (Ajax AC) 43-09 (other net approx 40 lbs disqualified for mixing carp and bream in the same net)

Report:
The switch to Thursday proved a great success with a decent turnout but although the weather was much cooler the fish refused to play ball with many struggling for bites and only seven anglers weighing in (although all caught fish).
Tony Lamb (peg 31) caught on pole and pellet mainly to his left and had 2-13 of “silvers” with the rest of his 112-14 weight being carp to record the win.
On peg 36, Shane Sayers caught on bomb, waggler and pole for his second placed 90-14, with Ian Smith (peg 27) taking third place with a margin catch of carp (from both margins)weighing 83-00.
Chris Horsley (peg 38) caught the bulk of his 65-09 fourth placed catch on the waggler, Paul Ashfield in fifth place from peg 50 mainly taking his 52-10 of fish on the method feeder.
Martin Hincks (peg 29) was in sixth place with 43-09 with one of his nets, unfortunately the other of similar weight had to be disqualified both carp and silvers were mixed in the same net.
It is hoped that next week’s match will be on the “Far Bank” high numbers.
