It was a beautiful bright autumn day, and the match was fished on the deeps and pump banks of the lake.

Mick Bull (peg 19 on the deeps) won for the second week in succession. He alternated between bomb and long pole throughout the day and caught one carp and skimmers on the pole and carp on the bomb to total 101-06 to win. This included around 30 lbs of skimmer bream.

Paul Fox, on peg 49 on the Pump bank took second place with 72-00, with Shaun Weed (peg 25) taking third with 58-09 with 46-03 of carp and the rest skimmers, taken mostly on pole.

Rob Wooten in fourth place from peg 16 had a single carp of 11-10 taken right at the end with the rest of his catch being skimmers (45-09), all of his fish taken on the pole.

John Adamson ( peg 18) was fifth with 50-04 of carp taken on bomb and pellet, with Chris (Oggy) Horsley in sixth place from peg 43 with 47-00.

Other leading weights were: Lee Pargetter (24) 38-06; David Day (28) 32-02; Dave McDowell (47) 24-00; Tony Lamb (22) 20-14.

My apologies for lack of photos and sponsor detail, but my PC is out of action and I cannot access my photographs or files.

The photos show Mick Bull in action and Rob Wooton’s net of silvers.

Many thanks to Wendell (deeps) and Oggy (pump) for their efficient scales work.
