EVENT: WEDNESDAY “NISA Feeders” OPEN MATCH
      VENUE: MEADOWLANDS FISHERY – LAMBSDOWN
      DATE: 28 JULY 2021
      RESULT
1st Chris “Oggy” HORSLEY (Meadowlands) 280-00
      2nd Terry WINSTONE (Meadowlands) 234-13
3rd Shaun WEED (Old Works AC) 220-13
      4th Simon MARLIER 187-10
      5th Oliver SLEATH 154-02
      6th John ADAMSON 109-10
      Paid top three

      Report:
The carp appeared to appreciate the drop in temperature as they fed in abundance throughout the match length (the “Deeps”) so that everyone fishing had a good day, with the top three all having over two hundred pound weights. Unfortunately at the end of the match there was a massive pyrotechnic thunderstorm with torrential rain, so there were no catch photographs and some of the weights have since been corrected as the organiser on the day was attempting to keep the records from the rain.

Chris “Oggy” Horsley continued his great run with yet another win. This time on peg 14, Oggy fished short on the pole with pellet as bait and caught carp and 13-10 of silvers to put a total of 280 pounds on the scales.

Terry Winstone on peg 8 in contrast fished the pellet waggler all match, and in spite of exceeding the sixty-pound weight limit in two nets and returning his silvers in order to use that net for carp, still managed a weight of 234-13. He would undoubtedly have had over 250 lbs with better net management and another net!

Shaun Weed, another angler on top form, on peg 20 also fished pole short with pellet and filled third place with 220-13. Shaun also exceeded the net limit in two nets.

Newcomers to Nisa Feeders Open matches took the next two places, both fishing pole short with pellets. Simon Mallier on peg 23 weighed 187-10 in spite of exceeding the met limit in two nets, Oliver Sleath on peg 17 in fifth with 154-02.

John Adamson on peg 29 took sixth place with 109-10, catching on bomb and pellet at first then later on the method feeder.

Next week’s matches are on Lambsdown on Wednesday (high numbers) and Warren on Thursday.

NB. ‘NISA Feeders’ Opens are at Meadowlands Fishery most Wednesdays. Book in before 10pm the previous evening (see Facebook: Nisa – midweek open matches), draw in car park 8:30am-9:00am, fishing 10:30am-4:30pm.
