Lets get the result out of the way and then explain what happened. 😎 😎

18 FISHED A PAIRS MATCH ON PITTANCE AND NEW LAKE…POLE ONLY.

1)….Terry Malloy/Adam Lee…..3pts….Joint weight.100lbs 4oz.
2)….Ian Summers/Mark P……..6pts….Joint weight. 97lbs 0oz.
3)….Steve Collins/Rob H……….6pts….Joint weight. 91lbs 2oz.

This was a great little match organised by Terry Malloy and fished in a very Jovial manner.All the lads were on top form and raring to go at the whistle…..But then “calamity”………
On Pittance after hearing splashing to my left and splashing and cursing to my right after Ben Emmery lost a foul hooker,i thought i heard a strange noise across the Lake…….I put it to the back of my mind as i lifted into my 1st Carp of the day,but as i was netting the 6lb fish i heard the noise again……Suddenly i realised it was the clicking of a screaming clutch……”Well **** me i thought… a pleasure angler on the lake behind me has hooked into a lump”….I turned to look,but all the “Carpers” were inside their Bivvies doing what they do best….Sleeping(dirty minds yu lot lol)…I turned and looked across the lake,and there in the distance was “Tango Man”..Ian Summers in his bright Orange Viz weatherproof(o/s camoflage) standing up,playing a fish with his 20 foot long ROD……..For **** sake i thought…….”Oiiii Dopey b****x (unlike me to swear) its a Pole only match….you knob”…….Ian slipped the net under his 12lb munter and shouted back….”Tis okay Mick…..Ive got permission from the organiser”.
Well,…..i was punch drunk.I turned to my left and saw me old mucker Terry Malloy trying to free a foul hooked fish from a snag.I bellowed across the still calm surface.”Terry…..Hes using a bloody rod mate”.His elastic pinged back and hit him on his hooter,and as the air turned Blue he retorted….”I know,hes old and decreppid so i let him use it, as long as he fished under the Rod tip”.
Well the lake from then on was hillarious as all we could hear all day long was the sound of a Screaming clutch and the lads shouting at Ian and Terry.
Twas even funnier when Ian put 85lbs of Carp on the scales and won not only the Lake,but put him 2nd overall in the pairs match.
At the payout the craic was brilliant,and the lads made me promise to put this report on here for all to see.The only reason i find it a bit hard to agree with is the fact that i was 65 myself last week,and why was i not allowed to use a bloody rod?….Everyone knows that i am deadly with a “Magic Wand” in my hands..lol.

20 FISHED JOHNS LAKE.

2)Terry Harrison Peg 10……33lbs 0oz.
3)Pete Turnbull Peg 38……28lbs 0oz.

Fished hard by all accounts,but Jason finally found the fish at half depth to run away with victory.Like everyone early he struggled to catch,but tried a few things before lowering his float and locating the fish up in the water. 😎 😎 😎

can just hear the comments and craic now .
We might not have the most prolific fishery in the country , but its got to be the best for a
