          Same for this:

          http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1380797/Cash-strapped-council-paying-phone-bills-staff–THREE-YEARS-left.html

Apparently there’s no scope for public-sector economies without decimating vital front-line services!

A couple of points of note

My son is ecstatic he is now famous on a fishing forum especially as he is crap, however a little disappointed that the sneaky photographer didn’t give him time to put his hoodie up and light up a spliff.

He is a little peed as well that the current government have made so many cutbacks as he used to get taken to commercials with 8 or 9 officers get lunch thrown in, and not to crappy canals, with just a 4 pack of beer.

He has however written to the EA insisting the canal gets re stocked with immediate effect

              Such miniscule amounts compared to the following, yet none of you are in uproar about this;

I feel sorry for the poor kid he should have a Rive D35 ST and a garbo Gmax 1000 to play with. As for the so called royal wedding don’t forget that ‘The QUEEN is NOT ENGLAND and ENGLAND is NOT the QUEEN, ‘OLIVER CROMWELL’,

I think most people are in uproar about that AS WELL – at least that’s a one off though, these daft offenders things are going on across the country all the time and will continue to . . . .

The bankers / fat cats bonuses are they one offs. Are the Royals a one off?

Personally, I think many of these are far worse than the ‘low lifes’ getting an easy ride but you then have to ask yourself about the mentality of the Caster Rob’s of this world with their public sector paranoia and ludicrous chips on their shoulders whereby they turn a blind eye to real wasting of money, real excesses but point the finger at a ‘low life’ Almost akin to bullying isn’t it. At the the least warped and misguided.

There is wasting of money everywhere Rob but the secret is not to pick and choose to suit your own warped ideals. Public/Private, Left/Right, Labour/ConLib they all screw the country up. They all waste money, they all rip us off. Picking the easy lowest of the low makes you a candidate for a job with the Sun newspaper.

Well at least I can back up my POV with data and facts and don’t have to resort to disparagaing fellow posters for having a different opinion.

~naughty I backed up my post with evidence and my intial pouint was that unless you work for the Sun or believe the Sun is the Holy Bible then admonishing how the lowest of the low are catered for/a relatively small amount of money wasted when there are huge examples (£5 billion on Friday) to highlight starts to beg questions of perspective. It is akin to somebody being robbed of their entire life savings and complaining that the robbers broke a glass vase on the way out.

As stated previously, this is a one-off.

Yet we have to absorb the cost of the May Day holiday for the Trots every year.

I presume the cost of one bank-holiday is very much the same as another.

the sun~think daily mail~think more tory smoke and mirrors. has anyone bothered to ask if the officers in question were on duty. funny we dont get any pictures of bankers on there annual ski holidays. i could publish much more damming pictures of 7 teachers supervising 7 kids fishing what the picture wont tell you is its in there own time. thats the trouble with this country an australian and the tory,s invent lies to keep your mind off the real picture. like droppinmg an £900,000 bomb on libia’s kids four or five times a day , not forgetting the cost of getting the plane to trippoli and wages for the pilot and groundstaff. but hey oh lets find a yob fishing thats real news. or the news murdoch and his sidekick cameron want you to read.

Though presumably from ’95 until ’09 (when he backed Labour) tha “australian” was truthful to a fault.

Thank goodness the Director of Services for Communities Mark Turley had something to say on the matter.

It’s as good as sorted already.

As part of the ongoing serial benefit-cheating epidemic:

one of the frauds is actually “employed” by the local council.

I guess this is having your cake and eating it.
