Open matches Southampton area

Hi all

Looking at fishing a few matches around Southampton in the new year, does anyone have any info on matches in the area? I’ve heard a little about Greenridge and Dandys ford, info on any opens on either of these waters would be useful. Also have read that EDAC have taken the rights to Witherington. If anyone knows whether the club plan to run regular matches on the place it’d be good to know.

Dan, you need to speak to Welshmagic (Gareth) about Greenridge

He fishes it alot and does well there.

Basically its a series of 4 canals, about 100 metres long and between 14 and 16m wide

The main species are carp, though you will get a few silvers

Orchard Lakes;
http://www.orchardlakesac.co.uk/ also have a monthly open on the first sunday of each month.
There are also regular matches at Broadlands lakes and Hordle.
