I think you will do well but not win the premiership yet. He is doing it right for Liverpool but has got a lot of work still to do to make them great. Dalglish coming back was a good thing for Liverpool.
If you remember Gary I detest the scousers but will always be honest.
Take care mate but you will be having the sun 9.50 holidays again next year. ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

I’m sorry but I wouldn’t back Liverpool with yours. I just don’t fancy their defence. I think there will be plenty of goals in Liverpool games though.

I do think Man City will give Utd a run for their money though and I think it will be a great Premiership year…

The best ante post bet I have seen is Brentford to be the top ‘inner London club’ at 5-2.

This is a three-horse race with Charlton (1-2) and Orient who are out with the washing.

I think Uwe Rossler has made some very shrewd signings for Brentford including the acquisition of Man City full back Shaleum Logan and Celtic winger Niall McGinn and they have had a great pre-season including beating a full strength Stoke 1-0. They also shut Watford out.

The signing of Creweโ€™s 29 goal top scorer from last season, Clayton Donaldson, also really catches my eye. Goal scoring was Brentford’s problem last year and this should address that.

Rosler by all accounts has the dressing room onside. Like Charlton they won their opening game and they were knocked out of the Carling Cup this week in the last minute.

But that’s a plus for our bet, and anyway the fact that they enjoyed a Barcelona like 70% of the possession tells us all we need to know about how they like to play.

The market is only available from Victor Chandler.

I think Brentford (12-1 for the League One title, also not a bad each way bet) should be 5-4 joint favourites with Charlton, who there has been a real plunge on; and therefore I make them a bet at 5-2.

I also like Wayne Rooney each way for top Premiership goalscorer at 9-1. Two seasons ago he scored 26, which would have won two out of the last three golden boots. Rooney takes the penalties and now Utd have last season’s No1 winner of penalties in Ashley Young (he won five). Young loves to take players on around the edge of the penalty area. Rooney had a very poor first half of the season last year but he’s not usually injury prone and providing he gets off to a decent start I don’t see him getting less that 20; and that will see us collecting.

                          Very shrewd geeps ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜Ž

I have had several conversations with proper tidal boy about Uwe Rosler and Brentford FC ,Uwe is top class and will bring success to Brentford,he has a proper footballing mentallity and passion for the game the Brentford fans will love him ๐Ÿ˜‰

As for my beloved Manchester City ……. us City fans keep trying to keep our feet on the ground with what has happened to our fantastic humble football club, yes money is everything in the premiership but if any club deserved success it is MCFC. and its supporters, hopefully winning the FA cup last season will push us on.Just sitting here and dreaming about the Champions league is something i, my family and thousands upon thousands of city fans thought would never happen in our life time……….what a wonderfull thing football can be ๐Ÿ˜Ž ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Man Utd still the team to beat, an injury free Everton are the dark horses for a top 4 finish for me, Liverpool will have a strong season under Dalgliesh but sadly gary the gudgeon will be spending next years holiday in costa del back garden ! ๐Ÿ˜€

Geepster, your sound reasoning has made me have a look at Brentford and they would appear to be a sound bet for that division, enough to tempt me into a ยฃ20 each way. Thanks for your observations.
