MOLANDS Catch of the week was by two carp anglers fishing pegs 3 and 4 who reported catching 70 carp between 3 and 14lbs using red boilies and feeding pellets over the top. Best tactic in matches is fish a pellet feeder tight up to the island with a mix of pmicro pellet and g/b with meat or white boilies on the hook. Best pegs are 1 – 4, 12, 15, 25- 27, 33, 41 – 45 and 58 – 60.
GEARYS The best tactic in matches has been to fish a small pellet feeder or method feeder and ping 8mm pellets over the top.Pleasure anglers have caught best on the top with dog biscuit or bread, catching carp to 18lb Best pegs are along the high bank from 6 – 15 and 18,19, 21, 24, 27 and 30.
LITTLE GEARYS similar to last week with match weights to over 70lb but most pegs providing plenty of action. F1’s providing the bulk of catches but carp, skimmers and tench also showing. The pellet feeder is the best way of catching ,fished really tight to the island with polony, punched bread or soft pellet on the hook Top pegs 7, 10 – 17, 21 and 26.
GRATUITIES Still one of the better pools at the moment with carp being caught on all pegs and tench, bream and crucians also feeding well.long pole and pellet/caster or feeder to the island are working best. Best pegs are 1 – 4, 8 and 11 – 14.
WILLOW Fishing pretty well at the moment with mixed nets coming to pole fished pellet or caster and the bigger carp coming shallow on either a pellet waggler or long pole and pellet. Best pegs 1, 5, 6, 9 and 12..
