        REPORT

MOLANDS Sport has really dipped this week with the cooler north easterly winds probably causing the drop in catches. Matches being won with 50lb and framing with 30 – 40lb this week with nothing feeding in large numbers. The anglers who have enjoyed the best action are those fishing till the end when carp are patrolling the near margin and fish to 15lb have been caught on meat, corn or paste fished really close into the pegs. Best pegs are 6, 13, 27 – 31, 43 – 46 and 56 – 58.

GEARYS Like Molands, not in the best of form at the moment with the better catches coming to paste or meat fished down the edge. Carp to 17lb weighed in during the weekend matches with bags to over 70lb caught. The skimmers are showing along the high bank with pegs 7-15 producing nets to 40lb+ on pellet or corn fished over ground bait.

LITTLE GEARYS Producing more consistent sport than the others with F1’s showing well and the bigger samples to 5lb featured in nets this week. The pellet method with meat or soft pellet on the hook or pellet on the deck at 11 – 13 metres has been the best tactics. Pegs 7 – 11, 17 – 21 and 26 – 29 are the pick of the pegs.

GRATUITIES This pool is fishing well with tench and carp being caught all around the pool. A small feeder fished up to the island with worm, pellet or dead red maggot has been going well and pellet fished shallow is also catching a lot of tench along with carp to 8lb. Best pegs are 6 – 9 and 13 – 16.

WILLOW Lots of skimmers and crucians coming out to float fished pellet or caster fished down the mid
