        REPORT

MOLANDS Fishing a lot better all round with more colour in the water through the past week. Carp to 20lb, F1’s to 4lb, big skimmers and crucians are making up the catches. The bigger carp are coming to boilies but the match anglers have found feeding 8mm pellets and fishing either a pellet waggler, waggler on the deck or straight lead and pellet the best approach fishing down the middle or right up to the island. Best pegs are
        1 – 4, 13 – 17, 27 – 31, 42 – 47 and 58 – 60.

GEARYS The pleasure anglers have had the best sport this week, particularly in the evenings. There have been lots of carp into double figures being caught on straight lead and pellet or a candle with pellet or dog biscuit. The match anglers are catching on a pellet feeder or method with pellet or white boilies on the hook with around 50 – 60lb needed to frame this week. Best pegs are 7 – 12, 18 – 21, 27, 31 and 36.

LITTLE GEARYS Still the most consistent match water with decent nets being caught all around with catches up to 80lb caught this week. A small method feeder fished up to the island with mini white boilies, meat or pellet on the hook have been the best approach. During the evenings, pleasure anglers have found fishing down the near margin using corn or paste and catching big nets of F1’s and carp. Top pegs are 7 – 12, 19, 21 and 23 – 27.

GRATUITIES Fishing well with the corner pegs producing nets of carp and tench to pole with meat and pellet or a small pellet waggler fished tight up to the features. On the straight bank, pellet or paste fished down at 6 – 10 metres is producing mixed nets of carp, tench, skimmers crucians and good sized roach. Best pegs are 1, 2, 6 – 8, 9 and 15.

WILLOW Fishing down the near margin with paste, corn and pellet or tight up to the island with a pellet waggler or method feeder have been the best tactics on Willow this week. Carp to 15lb, plenty of F1’s, skimmers and tench being caught at the moment. Best pegs 1, 3, 5, 6 and 10.

ANNIVERSARIES Floating baits such as bread or dog biscuit are accounting for the better carp with fish to 15lb+ coming out on this. Pellet or paste is working for mixed nets of skimmers, carp, tench and a few barbel. Best pegs are 1 – 6, 10, 15, 17 – 21.

SIBLINGS Some good nets of carp and tench coming out, particularly at the top end amongst the red beds. Corn, meat or paste fished near any feature is the best approach.
