When fishing paste, would you cup in small amounts of paste at the begining of the session or start off on the hook and gradualy build up your swim ?. Also would you feed small amounts of 4mm pellets at the same time as fishing paste on the hook ?

        Cheers

Depends on lots of things really, venue, draw, target weight, species etc. If i think i’m on a weight then I always cup in an extra piece of paste alongside the hookbait as it brings the lumps in. I like to feed by hand if i can as the noise helps to attract fish. Pellet size depends on the size of fish.

Yes and yes. Subsitue 4mm for 6mm if bigger fish are expected. Cup everything in to keep the feed tight.

I’d also say yes and yes, but I like to spread my feed pellets around an area say 2′ to hopefully cut down on liners.

i tend to mix 2mm 4mm and 6mm into solid jaffa size balls and pot 1 it in and top it up every hour if needed only on 1 line though and then put some loose in with the paste in the pot .

I never cup in paste but will cup in 6mm pellets after a few fish
sometimes i just fish the paste from the hook
6mm pellets stay on the bottom and seems to pick better size fish to catch
smaller pellets seem to bring in nuisance fish
every place is stocked diffrently and its worth trying a few methods out
