Im just trying to find out where these pellets would end up
the lake would be square 6ft deep with a strong wind blowing from the top left corner to bottom right the lake would be 60 metres in length and you would be sat in the bottom corner peg 5 metres from the corner feeding soaked 4mm hard pellet that have gone soft and putting a potful in 5 metres out
after 3 hours and a 15 mile an hour wind where would these pellets be in your swim the lake would also have a 45 degress slope against the banks
im trying to find out if these pellets would move across the bottom and if so where to

Depends what type of pellets. Standard coarse pellets might have broken down by 3hrs.

ptb liked the answer but your wrong if i lifted my net i would find my pellets

Glebe if i new fish language i would do

Steve these are standard course pellets and do still stay together after 3 hours but was a very good point ive got some 6mm just that are gone in 30 minutes and have recently realised this importance
the pellet question is not something ive done on the bank but was interested in peoples thoughts on soft pellet movement on the deck

have the pellets moved, spread out, moved to the corner im just interested what others think the pellets have done in this length of time

I depends on if there have been fish in the swim near the bottom or not. If the pellets have been disturbed by fish grubbing around on the deck. Then the pellets that had not been eaten would have spread out in all directions including going up the shelf but there is likely to be more pellets further down the shelf and to the side where the undertow is going. If there have been no fish in the swim. Then all the pellets will still be where they landed on the deck after feeding!

thanks for your post Trueblue you always give a very good post
so with no fish they will drop and stay there but with fish in the swim wafting them about they will spread this gives a good understanding to what my pellets will be doing

if the pellets did move on the bottom i had a very good idea where they would be but needed to see if they moved
