hi chaps…when fishing pelletts shallow..does it really matter what pellet your feeding to whats on the hook…ie feeding sensas 6mm pelletts and using a 8mm skrettings on the hook…will the fish be pre occupied with the noise and competition for food rather than what colour pelletts been fed and whats on the hook???? 😉 😉 😉

craig, why dont you just do it. there is no law that says you must use certain brands of pellets and i am damned sure that the fish dont know one from another. size they might recognise, but……..manufacturer, i doubt.
remember the old adage, “the bigger the bait the bigger the fish”-try your luck.

I’ve found that some makes sink at different rates to others…….Messingham pellets for example sink a lot slower than Skrettings…….but on most occasions I wouldn’t say it made a lot of differerence really when they are ‘”aving it!”

wold 6mms for feed and a 6mm on hook judd!!!

When you get the fish really feeding, they often take the pellet as it hits the water. This seems to me that the fish are totally pre-occupied with the pellets being fed & take anything that is presented within their feed area. The other day, fishing the pole up on the water, I lost the pellet from the band only for the fish to take the empty bait band as I attempted to ship-in!

its just im fishing the glebe and ive got 2kg 6mm sensas red pellets for feeding but only got 8mm skrettings pellets for the hook..just wanted to know if the colour would make much difference

I think it will matter! Much prefer to use the same on the hair as I’m feeding, why don’t you just use the red 1s on the hair? But at the Glebe, forget pellets, you want casters!
