        any one used it?
        is it any good?
im looking to catch lots of small (4 inch) carp, small roach and the odd skimmer and want an elastic with plenty of stretch so i dont bump the roach off….
i was using blue at the weekend and lost a few of the roach so wondering if the pink would be better?

would you fish it through the top one(and flicktip)
or through the top 2 with a pulla?

also wheres the cheapest hydro in the country?

        cheers!

Pink would be a lot better but to be fair this time of year I would opt for double 5, preston original slip.

I use pink in the warmer weather and put it through my no.2 and no.3 section with a pullabung. Angling Direct is the cheapest place to get hydro as I think you get a 10% discount if you’re a AT member.

4 inch carp? a standard 3 would be my choice, or a 4.

yeah lump 4 inch! its a new water just stocked this year, lots of small carp, roach and skimmers. im gonna try the pink hydro, but also gonna buy a spool of the prestons slip 5 and try it singled and doubled to see what thats like. incidently i did try some 6 latex and that was better than the blue hydro but im worried about the longivity of latex…

used it yesterday in a club match, it was good on f1s and skimmers but if i was looking to catch smaller fish i would definately use a 4 or 5 preston slip

                cheers mike strutter

I drew the Bottom Pool in a Winter League at Tunnel Barn a few years back and the peg was stuffed with tiny commons and mirrors. 400+ fish for 20lb but the lightest elastic I had with me was 5 latex and that was too strong and I bumped enough to cost me the section (eventually won with a three fish catch for 24lb by Mal Watson – I think – next peg and not bitted out at all!).

A 3 or 4 would have been much better or even a tight 2.
