Yeah i believe you can use braid but in my opinion your not chucking long and its not deep, not where ive drawn anyway

Smed I would advise on my experience of fishing there, dont fish too light you will get away with a 0.16 and 0.14 bottom size 16 microbarb. Plenty of worm and caster through the feeder chuck 20 turns and fish a relatively slack line dont tighten up too much and if you havent had a bite within 1 minute cast back out and pray your not on pike there a nuisance they cost me the section last time i was down i got struck 8 times i played one pike for 10 mins ! then i wasted a good 20 mins sorting out hooklengths and mangled feeder rigs.I did have 2 tip rods set up but 1 was for hairrigged corn so i would also advise setting up at least 2 identical rods to save time 3 would be ideal. Also feed a line at 2m theres stacks of perch hang out where all the mucky water washes of your waders theres a few anglers used this trick as a snooker.

Fish the pole for roach and skimmers, a more consistent method at getting good section points. Unless you’re Steve Ringer.

i suppose conditions will have a part to play as well, i take it its open to the wind???
                          also water colour/depth as well
i had pole in mind as well as the tip, just wasnt sure on a worm/caster approach or maggot feeder…
does groundbait work also? if so what type/makes??
lol never even seen the place and im fishing it next week!!
                          should be fun!!

Just to get you even more confused, we used to fish the first 2 rounds of the sw superleague on there, ok it was Always in June but the team would always come away from the matches in first or second. And we would all fish up in the water. Normally between 11 and 13 meters chucking a small ball of groundbait (sensas explosive lake) containing casters pinkies and finely chopped worms with any of the above on the hook, as well as a close loose fed perch line. In the last 2 practices we fished down there I framed with 13 & 18lb of roach and skimmers doing just that.
