Preston hollow elastic’s

Tried it last year, never lasted above two months.Dont use it anymore.

I’ve just elasticated my new XR4 kits with this. I usually use Maver dual core but thought I would give Preston a go. Hope I don’t regret it. They say stick with what you know!!!!

Yep i’ve had two lots of 13h perish and snap after being in topkits for only 6 weeks or so. And seen other anglers suffering breakages!

Lasting two months – WOW! that’s two months longer than the crap they elasticate their method feeders with.

They are off my Xmas card list, I’ve also wasted money on 2 spools of Direct Mono that I’ve swore by for a few years that’s changed and is now a lot thicker and stiffer than it used to be.
The worst thing for me is that they don’t have an email address that you can vent your frustration or ask questions!!

Ive been using the middy hollow and like it a lot. I bought some more last week and its completely different from the original stuff. its much thicker and is almost 1 grade up. Im going to take it out as i cant get on with it. ive noticed it with line, elastics, floats and lots of other stuff. Every time you buy it its different :confused:

Same here, Preston really is nice elastic to play fish on but it doe perish very fast. I get about 2 months out of my most used tops which are 15 and 17h.

Back to Hydro I think !!

Ive had the same problem, mainly with the 13 size.
Bought some of the Hollow Elastics from Dragon and they look and feel much better.

The Black is about the same as the 13 Preston and ive been using it for 8 – 10 weeks now with no signs of wear or fading at all. A very good price too £12 for a double pack (2x3mts) 🙂

i am a great fan of 13 hollow ,the green 1,but i dont think prestons touch daiwa hydros i havent had any trouble with the green although a mate of mine has had nothing but grief,1 thing i do no is the laccy in prestons feeders is dire and it has cost me fish this year all i can say is et some hydro and get some of prestons in the same rating and pull as hard as you can, 1 will snap and 1 wont ,i no its dearer but that little extra could make all the difference
