Looking into replacing the foam heal seat on my D36 with either the club seat or the Carbonium one. Other then the huge price difference they look almost identical. Which is the best seat. Personally I’m not interested in the leather version,

I was thinking the same. I upgraded from the old leather version to the Foam Heel seat. Now I am thinking about the Carbonium one. I sat on one in a shop last week and it feels like it will last, unlike my old leather version which the foam inside gradually got softer and softer until I felt like there was no cushioning/padding between the leather exterior and the plyboard it’s stapled to.

The carbonium has a gel inside I think along with denser foam? It’s hardish but softer than the foam heel seat. The Club version has a softer leather exterior but the leather feels like it could rip/tear around the pole support loop after a bit of use.

Hope you don`t mind me jumping on this thread but I read DH`s reply about the leather seat and the foam flattening. I have a leather seat on mine and recently when I`ve been sitting on it for a while my left bum cheek starts to hurt and I get a pain down my left leg. Do you think that its the foam flattening and sitting almost on a piece of ply for 5 or more hours that causes this problem? Again sorry for jumping onto this thread.

I had the same experience, although mine was caused by sciatica 🙁 Pure agony sitting for even half an hour but the bites kept my mind off the pain.

My leather seat was off a 2003 Rive RX so it’s age was probably a factor for the interior foam giving up, or else they made them softer on the older models.

Buy yourself a second hand milo gell cushion send it to Matt (kinsway allstart)on this site and he will make it fit,it will be the best seat you can get for your box.
