Has anybody got a web site or telephone number to contact for the river around Bridgnorth?
The council webcam is temporarily out of action!
        Regards Peter

It is low mate and i mean low.
Head for the end of the Bylet and there is a deeper gulley – hot spot at the moment.
Or, go a little further down stream around the new bridge. If you a are wading be very careful as there is a shocking drop halfway across directly under the bridge.
There are fish coming out on the inside lines, but i am talking on the evening, say getting there at 5 and going into dark.
2 9lbs have come out this week and i know to another 2 big fish last week.
This is all assuming that you are after barbel of course and i am specificly talking about the town water stretches.
If it is the other stretches you mean, give Bridgo tackle a call and they will tell you about the parts.
If it is Roach your after – forget it, way, way to low at the moment.

Thanks Paddy. I normally fish above the town on the golf Course sections.

There was an half decent weight from up there in a match a couple of weeks ago. 9 whiskers and a couple of Chub won it on pellets.
My advise = BIG MEAT going into dark and strap your self in!
BIG MEAT means a can cut into 4! No, i am not joking! it looks bonkers to be honest, but try it if your after a PB whiskers. Size 2 onto 8lb hook length to 10lb main line and keep it either 2 rod lengths out, or creep up and drop it into the edge – either way with a running 1oz lead and dont forget to hold the line as the bait enters the water, so you dont have a 20 foot hook length!
On the evenings the rod is trembling within minutes at the moment on the town stretches. Forgot to say, feed nothing, pull the hook through the meat and cut a ‘V’ into the bottom of it. Pull the hook down onto a match stick, whilst have a peice of rig tube sliding on the hook length. When the hook is in the meat and over the match stick, push the tube into the top of the meat, down the hook legnth and it will stop the line cutting the meat on the cast.
1.75lb test curve rod with a bait runner and have the bait runner on straight away.
Dont hit any of the bites that keep plucking, or the ones that yank the rod round – wait until the baitrunner is starting to sing, then hit it.
There are some really big fish where you are talking about and this big meat will sort them out as the smaller ones either back off the meat, or chomp on it which is great fun to see.
                  Good Luck!
