TF_Simon PLike most things in life you get what you pay for……
I had some of these floats, very soft balsa, next to no varnish finish on them….. put line cuts into body making up rigs before even getting them to the bank.
They look pretty in pictures but pretty bad in real life!!!! i.m.h.o

Not the case with the inline ones I have matey, ive lost big fish at the net on several occasions and the recoil has been so violent the rubbers on the stem have split and the shot have flew off but the float remains perfect.
I bought 10 floats delivered for £8.99 bargain! -

Amazingly similar to other brands with same paint job ????? one reputable tackle shop that sells similar recommends using hard as nails to coat the float before using. makes you wonder how many actual float companys out there ?????

TF_GamagreenQuality floats.
Inline versions can’t cut through the body. Hard as nails always helps.
You have also got to remember not all floats are made to withstand being dragged through rushes by a double figure carp! Horses for courses and all that.
You get what you pay for? Why pay twice as much for the SAME float with a different paint job!

TF_macca63Rizov makes floats for a well known floatmaker in the UK who currently sells them rebranded as his own design so they cant be that bad. They also make floats for a couple of other companies too. I’ve bought a shedload and they are on par with anything else you can buy in shops at a fraction of the cost.
Some people rave about Carpa Chimps but the balsa on these is really soft and the wire bends for fun but nothing seems to be said about these.

Pole float snobbery :p Some floats catch more anglers than fish!

TF_Col_WJust ordered a few, will give them a try – at that price they are a disposable piece of tackle – well cheap!

Anonymousmacca63, if your getting the wire on Carpa Chimps bending. Then, your using the wrong size of silican fo the wire. You have to take the line diameter in to consideation when picking the right silican diameter for the float. Also, are you also using 3 pieces of silican on each float? Hard as nails will solve the issue of the line cutting in to the body of these floats and also stops any water from soaking in to the body. I,ve caught a lot of very big carp this year while using Carpa Chimps and i,ve not had any of the issues you describe with Carpa Chimps.

TF_macca63TrueBlue, tried 3 and sometimes even 4 pieces of silicone of varying diameters but still had problems so stopped using this particular pattern, not had any issues with any of the Carpa floats just the Chimps.
