Rochdale Canal opens…

I walked the length behind Firwood Park in Chadderton today and noticed that someone had put out peg numbers on the bank, i also noticed that this was the case last week at the Boarshaw lentgh in Middleton, does anyone have any info on these opens? I know that Albert doesnt have anything to do with them also???

Heard on the grapevine recently that someone (none fisherman) walked along Boarshaw a few weeks ago and an evening match was taking place but no idea what night or who was running it, I will ask around and try and find out what is going on – not fished a match on the Rochdale canal for over 25 years so interested myself

I saw the peg numbers too. As its just round the corner from my house id love a crack at some evening matches on there. I rung Albert who runs most of the matches on there and he didnt know anything about them at all?
