rod tip for poles

looked on ebay yesterday and came across rod tips that connect to the end of the pole and was thinking what a mad idea
but watching the film i could see how the tip could work very well in self hooking the slightest of bites
i cannot find them know to put a link but just wonder what you think of them if youve seen them

Not.

I’ve been fishing with a quivertip in the end of a pole, with elastic through the rings, for at least fifteen years. I use it for pole feedering.

AND I won’t even claim the credit for it. Nick Larkin showed it to me.

God knows how long he’s been using it.

You only generally need a feeder tip on a pole when cant afford to lower your elastic to much but you still want the “Flick tip” type feel to the tip. It was mainly used one the rivers for the roach etc.

I use the feeder or even bomb on the pole pretty often. The Hollow type elastics now means that you really don’t need to tip on the end and you can afford to go lighter and looser with the puller kits. I’ve had some very successful days with the Feeder on the pole. Most of it is on me blog.

That video just about encapsulates everything that is wrong on the modern fishing scene.

I just cannot see how anyone could find fishing like that even moderately entertaining.
