A thule box of similar dimensions, gets three holdalls in plus 6 nets and three landing heads(not in stink bags) So You should be able to get just two Prestons in, best take the holdalls with you to your nearest stockist to check.

One drawback to any roof rack is the additional drag causing increased wind noise and higher fuel use. Another can be forgetting the headroom increase 😮

The benefit is more room inside the car and if you can get your nets in too then less stink in the car. Assuming you’re not giving a lift to Jonny Fartpants.

I thought that way at first and tried it, what a worry..couldn’t take my eyes off the car for a minute without wondering if some toe-rag was messing with the gear. When it was raining all the kit was dripping as the force of the ride would drive the water in through the zips.

If you can shell out for a box get a box, you might find two slim ones on e-bay are cheaper and easier than one new huge one.

Better get, saving for,a box.lol. there is always two of is so gear wouldn’t be left on own but I didn’t give much thought to the rain getting in .
                      Chears lads .
