Royal Mail National Results

Hi all, this years Royal Mail National was again at Woodland View Fishery. 19 teams of 4 entered. Spread over Front and Back Deans, High and a good portion of Arles.

The fishing in some cases was a bit difficult with Arles fishing the hardest (winning weight S.Campbell 72lb 2 oz peg 33, 2nd best weight J.Brennan 42lb 5oz peg 4) The most consistent weights were off High Pool where 10 people had over 30lb. (winning weight A. Stone 67lb 14 oz peg 15 2nd best weight C. Horwood 67lb 12 oz peg 14) Best individual weight came from Front Deans. ( Winning weight 87lb 2oz T.Corbett peg 25 and 2nd best weight was T.Woollaston 66lb 12 oz peg 21) Back Deans had 6 weights over 40lb, 9 over 30lb ( Winning weight P.Norris 80lb 6oz peg 63 and 2nd best weight was J. Axford 72lb 6oz peg 61)

The top 10 teams are as follows:-

1st Redfern Park. 9pts

2nd Harrow. 10pts

3rd Avon Boys. 17pts

4th Chippenham. 27pts

5th Stockport Engineers. 30pts

6th Wyre Forest. 33pts

7th Manchester Mongs. 34pts

8th Nordis. 35pts

9th Brum Bums. 36pts

10th Exeter. 37pts

Hi Bear,

Have you got a date for next year .I didnt know there was still a royal mail national.I was fortunate enough to fish a few of the old team events when it was regionalised for the midlands team(they were the days).
I still work in Nottingham mail centre & could probably muster a team up for next year.

Hi Mark, the date for next year is Sunday 9th September. Its at Woodland View again. If you want more info just drop me a PM with your number and I`ll give you a call. And yes everyone who works at Royal Mail fish`s, thats why your post is always late n smells of fish! 🙂
